SET820S Wireless Transmitter and Receiver to be used with your favorite Headphones
I tested the SET820S over the weekend and I absolutely loved it. I had my CD player playing Phil Collins' Tarzan soundtrack on the second floor of our office and I walked downstairs and then out the building for another 200 feet. Our building is made of concrete block and the reception was outstanding. I used it with a Grado SR60 and with an in-ear earphone as well. Sound quality was surprisingly good. I'd even say excellent. Setting up was very easy. You just need to connect the stationary transmitter piece via RCA cables to the back of your sound source or if you are using this with an old TV that doesn't have a headphone jack, you attach the provided mini microphone close to the TV speakers. The receiver part you can simply clip to your waist. It's very light and simple with a big volume knob. Applications are many. If you are watching TV late night and don't want to disturb your better half's sleep or if you want to do some handy-work around the house, the SET820S is an excellent solution. And the best part is that it lets you use your existing favorite full-size headphones or earphones. The jack is a 3.5mm (stereo mini plug) but these days almost all the headphones include a small adapter from 1/4" to 3.5mm.
Exceptionally easy to set up and operate, Sennheiser’s SET820S wireless headphones can also be used by those who wear hearing aids. Simply connect the TR820 stereo transmitter to a TV or hi-fi system. The RR820S receiver, with its large, easy-read volume control, is clipped to your clothing. TV and hi-fi sound is transmitted through headphones, direct input audio cable, or induction neck loop for T-coil-equipped hearing aids. Built with balance control for left and right ear volume levels, the SET820S also offers balance control for setting separate bass response in each ear. With the compression switched on, the speech you hear is clear and concise.
Enjoy freedom of movement around the house while listening to your favorite TV programs or songs. No matter your choice of tunes, from Guns N’ Roses’ “Sweet Child O Mine” to ABBA’s “Dancing Queen”, the SET820S wireless headphones can make doing those boring household chores a lot more fun.
